Close to the Colosseum
One of the greatest pleasures of our work is seeing guests discover the wonders of Rome, and nothing compares to the first glimpse of the Colosseum after a day of exploring.
For over fifteen years, we have welcomed travelers from around the world, providing insider recommendations and local expertise to help them experience authentic Roman life. More than just a place to stay, Merulana Suite Apartments offer a home in the heart of the city, designed for comfort, convenience, and an unforgettable Roman holiday.
Located on Via Labicana, just steps from the Colosseum, these holiday apartments in Rome are set in a historic 18th-century building, originally built as a convent. The property retains its elegant charm, as confirmed by original documents signed by King Vittorio Emanuele II.
Next to the building, you will find the ancient ruins of the Temple of Isis, a reminder of the city’s rich pagan history before the rise of Christianity.

Getting Around
Exploring Rome from Merulana Suite Apartments is effortless. Begin your journey at the Colosseum, then take a short detour to visit the Basilica of San Clemente, a 12th-century church that hides beneath its floors an ancient Roman house and, even further below, the Temple of Mithras, a sacred site dedicated to the Sun God over 1,000 years ago.
A few minutes away, you can reach San Giovanni in Laterano, once the main church of the Vatican. Its impressive Baroque façade, designed by master architect Borromini, reflects the artistic transformations that shaped the Eternal City.
Rome is an endless discovery, where every street and every corner reveals a hidden masterpiece. Sometimes, the best way to experience it is simply to wander through its alleys and let history guide your steps.
